Suffocated...

Deadlines, deadlines, DEADLINES!! Argh, tests to study for, projects to do, papers to write... and it really doesn't help that i'm so behind time....

SIAO LIAO.

I need to focus on my studies and not be distracted by emotional issues... I need to forgive, I know i'm angry, i know i am, and it's really bad. It's like just boiling and raging inside of me the past few days, and i'm just constantly trying to suppress it. As pastor henry has shared before, what this world needs is not more justice, but more love, and forgiveness. Only then, will change and transformation take place, lives are touched, healed, restored.. so help me God.

What's Going On Around Here?

Funny how people do not practise what they preach... yet are supposed to be examples of faith and love.

And we wonder why lives have not been changed and transformed by the power of God, where chains are set free, the blind see, the lame walk.. And why there has always been a perpetual and perennial shortage of leaders in church today. That many end up doubling up in ministries, running themselves down... till it comes to a point we have to make an exit to avoid a burnout.

And SUDDENLY, we are IRRESPONSIBLE????
- so are we supposed to burn ourselves out then blame God, blame the Church??? Isn't that more irresponsible???
- what do you mean irresponsible? We have made clear our reasons, and there are also many other areas of our lives that we are held accountable for, areas that are UNSEEN in the church context every sunday, yet VERY VISIBLE to our own selves. There's only 24 hours a day, we wish we had more time to give, but these areas of our lives we can no longer afford to neglect. Secondly, we have given one month's notice, which is the STANDARD in even the day to day running of the corporate world of today.
- thirdly, there is no one person who is indispensable in any organisation

Think of it in terms of cause and effect, in terms of ROOT CAUSES... in the larger picture, then it all becomes clear isn't it? The point is, in the context of church, when there are shortage of leaders, and leaders are doubling up, such leaders cannot be expected to sustain this for too long a time. Relinquishing of one role or the other is inevitable over time, in fact, it's only waiting to happen... esp if the leader is holding more than one key role, imagine the over-commitment expected out of him/her.

And now, before you even make a judgement, ask yourself, have you ever gone beyond yourself, stepping out of your comfort zone, sinking in your time and energies to just try to make that positive difference? Did you even come to me to seek a deeper understanding if you're in doubt?

If the answer is no, then please, do not just seek empty unsubstantiated talk that spurns hurtful remarks or comments, sitting comfortably where you are now, insulated from all that really is happening around you.

The Rat Race of life...

I wish i was brilliant, but i'm not.
I wish i had more time, but i've only 24hrs.
I wish i had more to give, but i've only so much to give.

Something's got to give.
